COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS – WIN A TICKET TO NORDIC PRIVACY ARENA 2026

1. General
These competition terms and conditions apply to the competition organised by The Swedish Data Protection Forum (”the Organiser”) on the Organiser’s official LinkedIn account. By entering the competition, you accept these terms and conditions in full.
The competition is a knowledge-based competition in which the winner is selected based on the quality of the entry submitted. The winner is therefore not selected by lottery or chance.
2. Prize
The prize is one (1) ticket to the Nordic Privacy Arena 2026 conference, to be used by the winner personally. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or any other product or service. Any tax on the prize is payable by the winner. If the winner has already purchased a ticket, the costs of this purchase will be reimbursed.
3. How to enter
Entry to the competition is free of charge. No purchase is necessary.
To enter the competition, you must:
1. Follow the Organiser’s account on LinkedIn, and
2. Answer the following question in the comments section of the competition post: LinkedIn post
QUESTION. What do you consider to be the most important data protection issue for organisations in 2026, and why?
Your answer should be well-considered and well-reasoned. Answers that are incomplete, obviously random or irrelevant will not be considered. Your answers may not be longer than 150 words. Longer answers will not be considered. Posts containing offensive, inappropriate or otherwise prohibited content may be removed and the relevant participant disqualified.
4. Eligibility
- The competition is open to private individuals.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
- Employees, consultants or board members of The Swedish Data Protection Forum, as well as individuals directly involved in the organisation of Nordic Privacy Arena 2026, are not eligible to participate.
- Each participant may submit one (1) entry in the competition.
5. Selection of the winner
The winner will be selected by a jury consisting of representatives from The Swedish Data Protection Forum. The jury will assess all entries based on the following criteria:
- Relevance – How well the entry addresses the question posed.
- Originality – The extent to which the answer offers a distinctive perspective.
- Clarity – How well-formulated and comprehensible the answer is.
The jury’s decision is final and binding and cannot be appealed. The selection is not made by random draw.
6. Notification of the winner
The winner will be contacted via direct message on the platform where the competition was held not later than 22 June 2026. If the winner does not respond within seven (7) days of being contacted, the right to the prize will be forfeited and the Organiser reserves the right to select a new winner. Information about the winner will be published on LinkedIn.
7. Liability of the social media platform LinkedIn
This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered or otherwise associated with LinkedIn, the social media company on whose platform the competition is published. Any questions regarding the competition should be directed to the Organiser and not to the respective platform.
8. Processing of Personal Data
Forum för Dataskydd is the data controller for the processing of personal data carried out in connection with the competition.
We process personal data provided in connection with your participation, such as usernames and comments on social media. To contact and administer the winner, we also process contact details such as name and e-mail address.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in administering, conducting and following up on the competition.
Personal data processed for the purpose of administering the competition and selecting and contacting the winner will be retained until November 1, 2026, after which it will be deleted.
Competition posts and comments on LinkedIn are not removed after the competition has ended. The Organiser’s post relating to the competition will be marked with a notice stating that the competition has closed. Personal data published in the form of comments and similar content will be retained until you choose to delete it yourself, in accordance with the features of the platform.
You have the right to request information about the personal data we hold about you, as well as to request rectification, erasure or restriction of processing in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 10. General Provisions
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition in the event of technical difficulties, suspected fraud or other circumstances beyond the Organiser’s control. The Organiser also reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of having manipulated the competition or acted in breach of these terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions are governed by Swedish law.
