This year, the Nordic Privacy Arena (NPA) is devoted to the Guardians of Privacy and Data Protection and this year’s theme is ”A Decade of Progress, A Future of Responsibility.”

The Guardians of Privacy are the DPOs, the data protection specialists, -managers, -coordinators, -lawyers and privacy officers along with the regulators such as Data Protection Authorities, EDPB, EDPS, data protection forums, and activists working daily to secure the basic human right of privacy.

Over the past decade, data protection has evolved from a niche regulatory concern to a global priority. The introduction of the GDPR in 2018 marked a turning point, setting a global standard for privacy rights, accountability, and enforcement. Since then, we have witnessed a growing regulatory landscape, the rise of AI governance, increased cybersecurity threats, and shifting public expectations about privacy.

As we celebrate 10 years since the establishment of the Nordic Privacy Arena as the ultimate forum for data protection and privacy in the Nordics, we also recognize that the journey is far from over and remains more relevant than ever. With emerging challenges such as AI-driven automated decision-making, biometric surveillance, cross-border data flows, and digital sovereignty, the responsibility to safeguard privacy is greater than ever.

We invite you to two full days of thought-provoking keynotes, fruitful and valuable discussions, exchange of experiences, and fun! Meet your peers and celebrate the 10th NPA at the Anniversary Party.

Practical information about the conference:

At this year’s conference, we are offering a semi-digital experience and participants can choose to participate either on site in Stockholm or online.

• Dates: Monday September 29 and Tuesday September 30
• Times:
  • Monday:
    8:00 – 9:00 – networking breakfast.
    9:00 – 17:30 – conference times.
    17:30 – 20:00 – Anniversary After Work – 10 Years of Nordic Privacy Arena. Even if you don’t attend the main conference, you can buy tickets for the afterwork and attend it separately.
  • Tuesday:
    7:30 – 8:55 – Breakfast workshop.
    9:00 – 17:00 – conference times.
• Venue: Mässhallen, Münchenbryggeriet.
• Address: Torkel Knutssonsgatan 2, Stockholm.
• The nearest subway station: Mariatorget.
• Food and allergies: If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know when you book your ticket. You can access the menu here.

Please note that all prices exclude VAT.

Terms and conditions for ticket purchase:

• Book your Early Bird-ticket before Friday June 20 to secure the best price.
• Tickets are refundable in full if the cancellation is done up to 3 weeks prior to the conference date. The conference dates are Monday September 29 and Tuesday September 30 so the final day to cancel your ticket and get a refund is Monday
  September 8.
• After Monday September 8, tickets become non-refundable. 

Please be informed about our billing procedures:

• We accept payments via credit/debit card as well as payment by invoice.
• Please ensure that the payment information such as billing address is accurate. Consult your finance department before purchasing your ticket if you are not sure about which information to use.
• Additionally, if your company processes payments through portals, please use card payment to facilitate a seamless payment process for both parties.
• Kindly note that we are unable to process payments that require registration with external portals.
• If you are working in the public sector (staten eller kommunen) and if your employer is using Peppol-ID or GLN, please make sure that you provide the correct payment information.
